We are all aging and it is important to remember... your water heater ages too!

How do you know when you need a new water heater? Well, On the side of your water heater you will find the manufacturer label. It should have an install date.  If it doesn't look at the serial number. The first two numbers are the month and the second two are the year. So in the picture example- the water heater was manufactured in Aug of 1994.  It is good to know how old your water heater is so you can make a proactive decision to replace it before the bottom rusts out!  In the unfortunate event that you don't and you have a flood all over your floors, call SERPVRO Franklin, Vance and Granville Counties at 252-433-0005 or 919-339-4848 for all you water damage needs.
