Where Does The Water Go

3/25/2022 (Permalink)

This home in Granville County sustained damage upstairs and downstairs! Making sure wet insulation is removed and your structure is dry is what we do!

Many homes and business have multiple levels. Upstairs bedrooms, bathrooms, storage areas, etc. When a water leak happens high up, sometimes, you've got more to worry about than what you see on the floors upstairs!

Water migrates to dry areas - and sometimes, that means it keeps dripping and pouring out until it lands - down below to the first floor!

SERVPRO of Franklin, Vance & Granville Counties know just what to look for. If the levels are insulated, our technicians know to get inside of the structure to the hidden places water can run to. Wet insulation should be removed in order to prevent mold and mildew growth. When insulation that lays horizontally gets wet, it looses its R-Value, meaning its no longer doing its job to keep your home warm and sealed!

Like we always say, sometimes its the water you don't see that causes some of the worst damage! Give us a call to help save every level of your home when you've had a water damage occur!
